TL;DR: most file, document, and text workflows stay in your browser. Some networking utilities make live requests to the domains or providers you ask them to test, and some pages may load advertising or measurement scripts as part of serving the site.

Browser-Side Processing

Most tools on TechRounder process files, text, or structured data in your browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly, and browser APIs. Those pages are intended to keep the main task close to the source input on the device you are using.

No User Accounts

We don't require registration. There are no user accounts, no email collection, and no profile data.

Live Networking Tools

Networking and endpoint testing pages may send the hostname, URL, request, or connection target you provide to a remote domain, API, DNS provider, or WebSocket server so the page can return live diagnostic results. Use those pages only with targets you intend your browser to contact directly.

Site Measurement and Advertising

Some pages may load advertising or measurement scripts needed to run the public site. Those scripts are separate from the actual file or text processing performed by the tools, but they may receive normal page-view, device, or browser information as part of serving content.

Local Storage

Some tools may use your browser's localStorage or IndexedDB to save preferences (like theme choice) or tool-specific data (like flashcards). This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Third-Party Libraries

We use open-source libraries that run in the browser, such as pdf-lib and FFmpeg WASM, to support local processing workflows. Whether a page makes external network requests depends on the purpose of that specific tool, and networking pages are the main place where live requests are expected.
